Thank you for considering Good Gracious! Events for your catered function. We strive to be more than just a caterer; our goal is to deliver excellent service and quality to every aspect of your special event, ensuring your vision becomes a reality.
PURCHASE DATES • PAYMENTS • CANCELLATIONS
A signed purchase date payment/contract is required for all catered functions in order to hold a date for the scheduled event. This payment is equal to twenty percent (20%) of your total event, or $1,000.00, whichever is greater. Good Gracious! Events (GGE) generally stays booked at least one year in advance, therefore, we recommend securing your date with us as soon as you are certain we are your choice. A credit card account number is required with a signed contract in lieu of a security/damage deposit. Final balance will be due fourteen days prior to the event, at which time the client will guarantee the final guest count. Payment may be made in cash or by personal check, we do not accept credit cards as payment for social or private functions. In case of cancellation, purchase date payments are non-refundable.
GUARANTEES
The exact per guest menu price will be finalized and agreed to no later than fourteen days prior to the event. This minimum number of guests will be considered a guarantee for which you will be billed. An increase in the guaranteed attendance will be accepted up to 24 hours before the function. GGE will prepare for the number of guests guaranteed only, we will not prepare for any percentage over the guarantee. The minimum event food cost is $600 dollars for events held Sunday through Thursday and $1200 dollars for events held on Fridays and Saturdays. Box lunches require a minimum of 10 guests.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
GGE will cater all the food for your event. Final menu selection is due no later than twenty-one (21) days prior to the function. Special requests and custom menu items may be provided for the client and prepared by GGE, with the approval of the chef. GGE can provide alcoholic beverages for your event. The North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulates the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages. Services can be provided on a flat rate per guest/per hour, consumption or cash bar basis. If GGE bartenders do not serve alcoholic beverages, liability is deferred to client.
STAFFING
In order to ensure proper service during your event, GGE recommends the following guidelines for staffing: 1 server for every 20 guests and 1 bartender/station attendant for every 75 guests. Each server/attendant is compensated at a rate of $24 per hour and a certified Chef can be provided at $40 per hour. A managing supervisor will be in attendance throughout the duration of your event.
DELIVERY, SERVICE CHARGE & TAXES
Delivery charges ($30) apply for events occurring outside the Charlotte city limit. There will be a service charge of eighteen percent (18%) on all food, beverage, and rentals. Sales tax of eight percent & half (8.5%) for all food and beverage and a sales tax of seven percent & half (7.5%) will be added to service charges and any miscellaneous rental portions of your bill.
SERVICES • RESTRICTIONS • OBLIGATIONS
1. Events are based on the following allowances: two hour setup, three hour food service and two hour breakdown and clean up. Events may require additional set-up and clean up. Additional hours incur standard labor charges. A flat rate of $24 per hour per staff member will be charged.
2. Leftover food items, not including wedding cake if applicable, may not be removed due to insurance restrictions. Certain circumstances may mitigate this provision.
3. Prices include serving pieces & disposable plates, service ware, napkins, and are subject to change. Charges may apply for outside the city limits and docking fees (Downtown Charlotte) disposable trays, pickup and delivery fees. Further amenities can be arranged for an additional charge.
4. All returned items will be picked up by GGE or dropped off by the client within seventy-two (72) hours of the event.
5. Additional requirements/restrictions may apply in accordance with venue selected.
LIABILITY
GGE is not responsible for damage to or loss of any items left on the property prior to or following any function. The customer is responsible and shall reimburse GGE for any damage, loss or liability incurred by GGE due to negligence of the client, the client's guests or any persons or organizations contracted by the client to provide goods or services before, during and after the event.
